Global Youth Service Day

Held annually in April, Global Youth Service Day is the largest gathering of youth interested in making a difference. For the first time this year, middle and high school student can elect to complete a service project raising awareness about dating abuse!
Global Youth Service Day is hosted by Youth Service America, YSA. Founded in 1986, YSA supports a global culture of engaged youth committed to a lifetime of service, learning, leadership and achievement. The impact of YSA’s work through service and service-learning is measured in student achievement, workplace readiness and healthy communities.
Break the Cycle is proud to serve as a Lead Agency for Global Youth Service Day. In partnership with YSA, Break the Cycle will make available the resources young people need to prevent dating abuse in their communities through digital download beginning in March 2012.
