Description:
We know that violence, control, and abuse in teen relationships cut across culture, class, geography, sexual orientation, faith, and gender; though females ages 16–24 are more vulnerable to intimate partner violence than any other age group—at a rate almost triple the national average.
Technology has also added both new tools for abusers to control their partners, but also new ways for us as mentors, parents, youth ministers, counselors and other concerned adults to reach and teach teens healthy ways of being as
they relate to their peers.
This webinar will:
-Address ways concerned adults can address healthy relationships and teen dating violence education with teens
-Explore the signs and components of healthy relationships and the red flags of unhealthy relationships;
-Introduce an abuse prevention resource, "Love – All That and More," (a program designed for high school age youth) and how you might adapt it in your setting;
-Explore ways teens might expand this resource to help educate themselves and others.
